VDA 6.4

Certification according to VDA 6.4 is oriented to quality management systems of suppliers of production means to the automotive industry (manufacturers of machinery and equipment, tool shops, etc.). Production means means single and multi-purpose machines and equipment, special fixtures and tools including inspection means. The scope of certification according to VDA 6.4 includes both piece production (e.g. single-purpose machines, moulds) and series production (machine components, special tool kits, etc.) and possibly a combination of piece and series production. Today, VDA 6.4 certification is recognized worldwide.
